Book #78

Hey There!
I guess you noticed that I skipped a few numbers. Well I decided to not to do a review on all of the book I read.  Just the ones that I really liked or the one I really didn't like.
(i don't think there will be many i didn't like).

Anyway, Book #78 was Jordan's Star by Gilbert Morris.
This book is about a young girl named Jordan. She lives with parents and three siblings, and they live in Missouri.  Jordan has always dreamed of going west.  She is offered a wonderful opportunity to go west on a wagon train to Oregon. She jumps at the chance and goes with them.
This book isn't just about Jordan though, as they head west the story unwinds about the people that become family on the journey west.
As you read the book the story keeps jumping back and forth to different people on the train.  As you learn about other people and their story you begin to love them all as if you have known them your whole life, but then again there is a few who you want to jump in the book and tell the wagon master what they did and get them thrown off the train.
As they journey west love sprouts up all over the place.
Young love, older love and some forbidden love.  As you learn about the drinkers and the prayers, you begin to wonder who will stay close together and who will give up.  Along they way they pick up wagons that other trains had dumped,  either because they couldn't keep up, some one got sick or just because people didn't like them. You just begin to see them all as family, or really close friends.  You will Love all the family's on the train.  Once they get to Oregon they stay a tight community, but they aren't the same people that left Missouri months ago.  Death, Tragedy and life on the trail has made them strong and willing to work for their claims.   All together this was a good book.  Gilbert Morris is a good story teller.  He is one of my favorites.
Hint, learn people's names and remember what family they are from. It will help. If you like books that have lots of story's and characters you will really like this one.
Happy Reading! <3
